Just saw an interesting take on things.
Trump voters are finding themselves not enjoying things as much, because they're being barred from or being removed from friendsgroups and family functions... and they're just not having fun.
Basically, the take was "when they spend time with other trump voters, there is no joy."
And... yeah... when I'm around people who are staunchly republican, things don't seem as fun...
@sentientdessert this is an excellent write-up. In some ways, a lot of tuned in people on the left have been saying this for a while but they do not have the audience or the reach to have made much of a difference. The Internet is a helluva thing. All this cord cutting in the last decade actually increases division as well. Those who are no longer watching cable channels are watching and reading content that is algorithmically curated to fool them and generate fear, the strongest emotion.
