OK folks, serious discussion. Let's put all emotion aside (as much as possible) and ponder the ultimate outcome if the slogan "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" were to become a reality. Assume it is not hyperbole and that the people who chant it genuinely want it to happen. What would it actually *mean* for the Israelis and its Jews in particular? What would it mean for the Palestinians and the greater Arab world, and the world in general?

@hallmarc I guess it would mean they would have to be neighbors. It would mean Palestinians had their own country and Israelis had their own country.

@AskTheDevil just quickly, where would the Israelis live in their own country if the Palestinians essentially returned to all of Israel and a contiguous West Bank?

@hallmarc They would presumably all live in the same country without one set of people having special privileges?

I'm not saying what I think people will do. I'm saying what they could.

Palestinians are made up of all sorts of people. I bet that could include Jewish people if people could get over their addiction to murdering and terrorizing one another en masse.
