Wow Sabine is on a rant and I don't blame her. I am not going to claim i understand all the physics she is annoyed with though. But a lot of science in a variety of fields is annoyingly stuck at least partly because you can't get published for proving something isn't true, only if you prove something is. And you get no funding to prove something is false except sometimes with drug effects but even then... you better have an elephant gun.
@TrueBloodNet frequently, research of the kind that leads to negative results (like PhD work) is immensely useful in guiding other researchers away from paths that are unlikely to bear fruit. Unfortunately, it's not usually exciting or novel like positive results and doesn't get published in traditional journals. I feel for Sabine.

I used to follow physics a lot closer and strive to understand it more, but I kinda gave up when I realized all that brain use was wasted bcuz 11 dimensional string theory is probably wrong.
