Can journalists please stop asking low-information voters how they “feel” about the economy? Jeez!

@johnldeboer Yes. Because the feelings of those of us living in poverty are not important, because we're too stupid and uneducated to know that things are really actually pretty good.

A poor person may not know the true author of their pain, but they can tell you when food costs too much for them to bear, and when they can't pay their bills on time, and when they work a shit job for shit pay and nobody gives a shit.

@AskTheDevil @johnldeboer sometimes they're low information voters because they're working three jobs and figuring out how not to starve rather than listening to politics or pundits. Still, when they're asked, the data should show that they felt shitty about the economy for the past x number of presidents and Biden is no different. He can't solve systemic inequality in a 4 year term but he can set things in motion to make your kids live in a better economy and I think he's helped with that.

@AskTheDevil @johnldeboer I would note however that there are plenty of low information voters who are not poor, in particular, lots of MAGA folk. I don't want to fucking hear about their feelings.

@hallmarc @johnldeboer I think not listening to their feelings until they curdled and were ripe for exploitation by a horrible grifter might be part of what brought us to this pass.

We're always our sibling's keeper.
