I'm getting really tired of arguing with Hamas apologists and people who believe that any attack on Israel is legitimate resistance because...colonialism (or insert illegitimate grievance here).
@AskTheDevil I don't like the killing of civilians under any circumstances. One can argue about the limits of Israel's campaign but I think there is more than a fine line between initiating a war that you can't win by deliberately targeting and murdering civilians, taking hostages, refusing to negotiate, and then hiding behind your own civilians... and responding to that attack with overwhelming force where too many civilians are killed certainly but you take pains to at least save civilians.
@AskTheDevil again, one can argue in good faith that Israel hasn't done enough to keep civilians from harm while achieving the objective of never again being attacked by a genocidal neighbor. But if you want to put contours on Israel's actions, you need to present realistic alternatives beyond "don't bomb Gaza" that are more humane and also result in Israel not having this happen again in five years. So far I haven't heard anything from anyone.
@hallmarc Me too. I also hate when people act like it's okay for Israel to murder as many innocent people as they want because _they_ think it's legitimate retaliation.
I like it when people stop killing each other.
I don't think any of this is okay. ]
