Anyone still using Picasa? EOLed in 2015 but was still communicating with the web until 2018 or so. I still find the flow just perfect somehow and I miss it dearly. Google Photos was just a half-baked cloud-centric replacement that has real problems with EXIF metadata and video format datetime...

@hallmarc A couple years ago I stopped using all Adobe stuff, except my legacy Lightroom. I used Photoshop Elements for a short time and then discovered the Affinty programs. Affinity Photo is very good and they just released V2 at a cost of about $40... for a lifetime license. You might check it out.

It's still offered at that price it turns out.

@tgraph52 thanks, I'll take a look! I used Elements organizer for a time but it was just slow and clunky. TBH, I don't care much about editing features, it's organization and strong metadata support I'm after.

@hallmarc Affinty Photo has no catalogue features.. Sorry.
