I dont want to have to take pharmaceuticals to feel 'normal'. All my friends are saying its the answer to my crushing sadness but my soul says no

@gomez_addams This life is fleeting, and we live in an era that provides science-based help.

Park your priors. Leverage it to become your best you. 💚

@gomez_addams Sometimes we have to. Would it be okay to avoid life saving/changing pharmaceuticals for a physical problem? No. It’s the same with mental health. Give them a try, and if they don’t help, then try something else. But, I can tell you that they help. They saved my life. I’ll do whatever I need to to live this short life to the fullest.

@gomez_addams You deserve to feel 'normal' and if meds help, then you deserve them. And if they're not the answer you're looking for, maybe it's worth knowing that too. Whatever you choose, I'm rooting for you.

@gomez_addams I've tried pharmaceuticals to try to feel less bad. They haven't worked for me. But people take tylenol when they're in pain, and they take insulin when their pancreas doesn't work. There's no shame in taking a medication that helps you feel better (if it works). I think a lot of people fear something not working so much that they are afraid to try, and might miss out on something that helps. Or we're afraid our past pain is somehow invalidated if we take a pill that helps.
