We struggle with reliable here.
I called a guy for some roof repair and it wasn't until the 3rd call that he responded. He came out and looked at the issue and we talked about the repair. He will call me later in the week to set up a time on the weekend to come do the work. That was last week. No call. This is someone who was recommended as reliable and qualified.
Most of the roofers I've hired here struck me as crooks, but I lucked out and found a super one, and had my roof replaced this Spring. On Eastern LI roofers are Armenian
As for the gutter guy, one year I thought I'd lost him, and called around 😱 So glad it was a phone glitch.
If I were you, I'd try to find someone else.
