Brush Fire in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Burns 2 Acres 🔥
The fire drew almost 100 firefighters, the commissioner said. The cause was not immediately determined - NYTimes #NYC
The cause could be someone smoking and not be responsible with the disposal of cigarette or joint.
Nature requires fires at times to remove dead debris.
@Soldier_Solitude Of course. Yes, I live in the Pine Barrens, a Fire Climax ecosystem. Periodic fires needed to open cones, clear brush. If my house burns down, I 'll have fewer decisions to make 😉
Though after the Pine Beetle debacle several little Pitch Pines have sprouted, cones fall apart.
I certainly hope that your home doesn’t burn down!
Be careful and try to water (as much as possible) the dry areas of your yard to lessen the chance of a fire.
