I saw a Question Mark butterfly today,and that is not usual. They are beautiful! Sat there quietly, but of course, I did not have a camera. So, photo of Question Mark by Darrel Gulin

@gemswinc that’s lovely!
Butterfly report from Toronto
We have a few stinging nettles on our patio as they are a host plant for comma, question mark and red admiral butterflies. We’ve had quite a few visits this year. The swamp milkweed are doing great but no caterpillars or monarchs spotted the pearly everlasting ( host for painted lady and american beauty butterflies, were nibbled on here and there, saw a few caterpillars, but never a butterfly I keep hoping!

@KarenSohne Sounds like a good year! Nice to see you here too 🦋 Pearly Everlasting wont grow for me..

@gemswinc shame they won’t grow for you, you could try them in a container? This is my third year having them, first year with caterpillars. Mine get a bit spready, so l’ve got them in the front, the back and on one side of the house. The ones in the front are in containers

@KarenSohne They have never returned nor reseeded here. Containers are an interesting idea. Also, I do have some new areas, that might be conducive, since trees died & opened new areas. Glad you have caterpillars!
