Any remotely middleclass life is wasteful. I'm well aware that as one person, I generate too much waste, and use up more than my fair share of resources. To the US, to the manor born, and here we (I) am.

@gemswinc I spent a week in the hospital a couple years ago. Seeing how much was tossed just for me was horrific. They can't sterilize and re-use anymore out of liability fears. I now have several pairs of beautiful German-made hemostats. They just toss them.

And here I am checking every bit of packaging to find recyclable bits, using metal straws, cloth napkins...

@DavidKMresists @LnzyHou @gemswinc @Maude Detergent sheets are the bomb! Not paying for a big plastic container of mostly water, plus zero waste makes us very happy. They also clean really well (we use Freddies, from Australia).

Just got my delivery of TruEarth. Don’t know what I was expecting but not an envelope. Blows me away. Thinking about almost no shipping costs for weight also.

If it works, I’ll never buy another plastic laundry bottle again!

You're gonna love them.
They really do clean.
Think about that little cup of detergent you used to use... how much of that cup was water and how much was detergent.
You're now getting just the detergent. Same as that little cup.
