They are feeding off people's desire to see their kids educated and using it to siphon off money after being the ones that created the problem in the first place by underfunding and crippling public education.
Republicans are terrible at the promote the general welfare thing.
Well aware of the cause & effect. It's been a constant for decades before rebranding, when public and private education were separate entities divided primarily by economic demographics. Rich families could afford to send their kids to private schools. Public schools were a given for the rest of us.
@fugitive247 Don't get me wrong, like you we have our grave concerns about what's happening in an educational system that used to be the pride of the Caribbean... at one stage Barbados boasted 97% literacy. Not so much now.
Even listening to broadcasters now, one wonders why they're no longer on speaking terms with the English language.
