It’s not that big a deal.
a) Twitter is falling apart. TODAY it is worth less than a quarter than what musk paid for it.
b) Truth Social is worth more and it’s garbage
What is REALLY important is the MSM which is falling all over itself to stay in Trump’s good graces.
Twitter and Truth Social are red herrings. MSM wants you to watch what is unimportant while they sane-wash Trump.
I feel like this is one way those "social media platforms" will be able to keep themselves alive - for the next 4 years at least.
In order to get any information about what the administration is doing, MSM and anyone else will be forced to go there to get that information.
Press conferences? Psht. Just put it up on Twitter or Truth Social!
I agree with you that they focus on EVERYONE having more influence than themselves. But if you look at ad revenue and subscribers, X and Truth Social is down and, wait for it, New York Times and traditional media is UP.
In fact, NYT has been up five years running And Twitter? It’s an excruciating death in slow motion.
And how many of Twitter’s “active” users are actually bots?
@feloneouscat MSM (incl NPR) already gives X and Truth Social outsize emphasis. Where does it go - will they become primary outlet for "official" information...could they largely take the place of any direct access for already servile (to your point) media?
