As an engineer I see no way IN SOFTWARE to trigger a battery explosion. Why? Because we literally build in fuses to prevent shorts. These fuses cannot be overridden because they are, well, fuses.
I find the whole “oh, you know a battery is a bomb” to be the most ridiculous and hilarious thing on the internet today.
And, yes, I’ve been an engineer for over forty years.
