“ Democrats have a real chance to sweep the presidency, House, and Senate. And if they do, their congressional majority would likely be more cohesive and progressive than during President Joe Biden’s first two years in office.”
It’s THIS reality we need to keep in mind.
Biden’s tenure as President has been just as rocky as other Presidents.
We’ve been lucky he is a much more skillful politician than I’d hoped or expected. We have a REAL chance of reducing the US’ carbon footprint.
@feloneouscat I'd prefer that he be a good leader and a good person than be a good politician.
The fact that he's managed to spend 50+ years in office writing and passing conservative laws that make debt inescapable for citizens, but easily discharged by corporations, caused mass incarceration, fought against desegregation, and people think he's a liberal are signs he's a great politician, but that's not a good thing.
@feloneouscat He looks great compared to Trump, but that's damning by faint praise.
On the one hand, we have a would-be dictator, and on the other a guy who says he likes us, but he's consistently helped industry over people while claiming to fight corporations and do a bunch of other stuff he's dishonest about.
His tenure has been rocky because he says the economy is good when it isn't, and he didn't keep promises to undo Trump's work.
Our choices are now Dictator or "Great politician".
Crime is down, jobs are way up. Inflation is starting to drop. Yes, there are still other issues, but overall we can beat them with Biden as President.
We can even fix the Court.
We need to focus on the positives rather than the short term negatives.
Biden has done a LOT of good.
