Why is Tesla the Teflon Car Company? At this point they could reintroduce the Ford Pinto and the public would be like, “Cool. Cool.”

@feloneouscat it is pretty remarkable how many people Tesla fooled into believing it was the future. Even centrists & lefties were onboard and totally ignored the poor quality, the high price tag, non-unionized factories, and the disregard for laws because it was a ‘disruptor’
Tesla is already in trouble as real car companies start to ramp up EV production and offer vehicles with features like steering wheels that don’t fall off. And if Tesla loses the chud market it’s going to be bad for them
