Why haven't we advanced beyond the antiquated internal combustion engine for 100 frickin years?
Something is up.
We should be leaps and bounds beyond burning fossil fuels and cracking open atoms for our energy needs.
Something is up and it's the big oils profit, thats what's up!
I hope I'm alive when they finally release the electromagnetic perpulsion engine that Tesla had engineered and since been built.
Until the big 3 and big oil end as we know it, we're stuck with 100 year old technology.

@fatslothslim Sorry but you've turned the problem on its head. We have IC engines because they are powered by a very dense stored energy fuel that is plentiful and easy to produce. Batteries are evolving but still can't compete with petroleum fuel.
