I also drank two liters of beer in one sitting, the most I've ever had in a sitting.
I want to go back. The wife wants the mango sorbet we found at a little place like a half block away from the Haus
What a great trip! My German schnitzel experience was in Trier where I had a liter of Bitburger with the schnitzel and gained about five pounds in the next 24 hours 😂. It was sublime.
We walk about 10 miles a day when on vacation in Europe but I, too, gained weight in Germany. My favorite foods tend to be traditional peasant foods, and with so much dumplings and beer and sausage and schnitzel, even mega walking didn’t help.
@evamarie yeah, we spent a week in France and walked so much I tightened my belt a notch. Then a week in Germany and I had to loosen the belt back up.
