Such a blow that we never got more seasons of Firefly. I was devastated when it wasn’t renewed, much like I was devastated when Counterpart was cancelled.

There were so many story arcs they could've played out. And they probably planned to, if they'd had the chance. It was such a quirky, cool approach to Sci-Fi. The world just didn't realize what it had. Or Fox didn't, I guess.

I’m glad they were able to make the movie “Serenity” to tie up ends for fans, but it had to speed up the storylines, much like the last two seasons of GoT, so it wasn’t nearly as satisfying as many more seasons of Firefly.

@evamarie I was talking to an HBO exec a few years back,there was meant to be a third season but at the time it was deemed as too expensive.

It was heartbreaking not to have a third season. I had also heard rumors of a movie which would act as a CODA, but by that time, all the actors had other projects.

@evamarie They were in pre-production for season 3 when they pulled the plug,I was gutted that it or the movie were never to happen.

I still have the DVDs of both seasons of Rome. It’s absolutely my favorite TV series.

They did the same thing to Deadwood.

I think both are from the same creator.

@Pungent Yup,both HBO.They were both greenlit by the fellah I was talking to,as was GoT,Band of Brothers and a hell of a lot more.He fought to get a third season of Rome but the accountants shot him down. @evamarie
