HIVE MIND REQUEST for my techie friends.
My marketing colleagues are brilliant, but most of them come from a consumer background rather than business-to-business -- and absolutely not tech geeks.
A couple of us resident geeks are going to be doing a "lunch and learn" to enlighten them. In other words: 10 Things You Should Know About B2B Marketing to Technology People.
What should we be sure to include?
The only one I can think of:
1. No hype, no buzzwords, do not talk about what you don't understand.
Tech folk have a very keen sense of bullshit, have heard it all, and take great glee in tripping you up.
@corlin You just summarized a half hour conversation that I had with two of my geeky colleagues. :-)

@estherschindler
I searched "b2b mistakes" & found a few lists. Some of it was entertaining reading.

2. Measurable *and comparable* statistics/benchmarks/etc.
3. no buzzwords.
