What do you do to hand over the reins when you leave a job?
(Assume you want the company/person to succeed.)
More useful, perhaps: What have others done to help you during a similar transition? What do you wish they'd done?
@flygande_ren Do you set limitations on that? That is, you don't want a phone call 6 months later. Or a call that lasts 3 hours, for which you aren't paid.
@estherschindler I set limits. My preference is to have a little overlap work with the staff if the relationships are good. It's difficult to get everything into quickly read health record.
The phone calls would be more of the "I don't see a notation of this in the record, did you such-and-such?"
and "Which form of communication does the boss/board prefer in your opinion?"
I prefer a clean in break in some ways if I need to make major changes to the clinic/department.
@estherschindler subtract the "in" after "clean" in that last sentence. I don't break into places to clean them.
Perhaps *clean break* should be in quotes.
Editors love me lol.
