At least they won't have to pay him for the rest of his contract term. Even though they fired him, they were still on the hook for that afaik.
He's breaking the "non-compete" clause, so now they don't have to pay him anything.
This tells me that he thinks he can earn more by peddling his BS to a Twitter audience than the $20M or so Fox owed him.
And realistically, he's probably right, considering what Twitter has become.
