Three questions about VPNs:

1) Which one is the most secure, stable

2) Which one is the easiest to use?

3) Which one is the most cost effective?

@99reasons4truth

1- I use NordVPN no issues so far.
2- Pretty straight forward i learned it myself.
3- they have monthly, yearly or two years plans

@AkomoCombine @99reasons4truth

I use Proton but most people I see recommend NordVPN. I am just curious if I am missing something significant.

@TwistedWhim i doubt it. Depends on your needs- Nord does have built in malware scanner and data storage. Also meshnet where you can link your devices and share files across them. @99reasons4truth

@AkomoCombine @99reasons4truth
I am not sure Proton has a meshnet. They do have malware detection and a separate storage app.

@TwistedWhim @AkomoCombine @99reasons4truth

Imo you don't need all they whistles and bells features - all they do is uae up resources and can have a big impact of devices especially the mid/low range devices

They add they features and say it helps with security and stops malware etc.... Blah blah its basically nonsense and a sales tactic

A VPN should just be a vpn and stay in its lane 😆

@ecksmc yep agreed-
i use the VPN and malware detector. I dont use its meshnet. 🤣

@AkomoCombine lot of people think malware detection = their devices are being scanned for virus like a virus scanner app/software does

Thats not the case malware detection, or blocker, is just a layer of protection against malware it doesn't scan your device for malware

Misleading people in other words

@TwistedWhim @99reasons4truth

@ecksmc oh i use Malwarebytes for protection- Nord malware scanner is just on when i login to VPN. @TwistedWhim @99reasons4truth

@AkomoCombine yeah malwarebytes is a good app to use

Personally, again just my opinion, I dont have a virus scanner, or anything like that, you don't really need one constantly running on android just slows devices down imo as long as you're careful with what you instal and watch where you go online, files you download, etc...your gonna be safe

That said I do check devices haven't been infected from time 2 time just don't have a piece of software running 24/7

@TwistedWhim @99reasons4truth

@ecksmc oh hell no! i dont run a virus scanner like Norton - F that. Im just careful where i step online.
@TwistedWhim @99reasons4truth

@AkomoCombine @TwistedWhim @99reasons4truth on while were on malwarebytes they also offer a vpn service via their app

I do use malwarebytes browser guard on chrome which is free and worth using imo

Yeah all they "virus protection" app were usful and necessary like years ago before Android had security features but virus protection apps just went overboard with features over the years features folk don't actually need lol

Some OSes virus scanner software is deffo needed, looking at Windows 😆
