November 2022, the FBI seized over 200 of Z-Library's public domains for copyright infringement. The site was shut down after being suspended in March 2021 by Harvard Business Publishing - Z-Library is still accessible through alternative domains and the Tor network. The site has also announced that it is again accessible on the public internet through personal domains assigned to each member
