uBlock lite for manifest V3
https://counter.social/@ecksmc/112906436062895341
creator of ublock has made an ad blocker specifically for the new API and it's available to use right now
Sidenote
In chrome privacy & security - use secure connections to look up sites(secure DNS) - toggle on - add custom DNS provider - input
https:// adblock.dns.mullvad.net/dns-query
(No space between // adblock - I'm putting space so its easier to copy & paste)
and hit enter
Android
Network & internet - scroll down private DNS - tap private DNS provider hostname - input
adblock.dns.mullvad.net
Hit enter
Using a DNS tracking & ad blocking list along with new manifest V3 extensions you can block most things
V3 extensions are still gonna block ads and trackers they are just limited on what they can do now compared to what the could do with V2 extensions
More here:
table shows the different hostname options and their content blockers. Refer to this when configuring the DNS with the instructions below.
And obvs you can use other DNS services like CTRL-D
I'm just using mullvad as an example and IMO its one of the best free DNS blocking services - you don't need a mulvard account to use it or use mulvard's VPN
CTRL-D is awesome at blocking and offers a free service but paid service is needed for most blocking you'd need - other services are kinda similar - Mullvad is IMO the best free option
