uBlock lite for manifest V3
https://counter.social/@ecksmc/112906436062895341
creator of ublock has made an ad blocker specifically for the new API and it's available to use right now
Family-friendly DNS content blocking now added to our Encrypted DNS service
"We update our DNS block lists weekly, as can be seen on our open-source Github repository from where the servers update"
https://github.com/mullvad/dns-blocklists
You can also use it on all OSes and browsers
And obvs you can use other DNS services like CTRL-D
I'm just using mullvad as an example and IMO its one of the best free DNS blocking services - you don't need a mulvard account to use it or use mulvard's VPN
CTRL-D is awesome at blocking and offers a free service but paid service is needed for most blocking you'd need - other services are kinda similar - Mullvad is IMO the best free option
More here:
table shows the different hostname options and their content blockers. Refer to this when configuring the DNS with the instructions below.

' A similar change in Firefox is coming soon and we’ll let you know when it’s ready. '
@Dane yeah every browser will eventually move to V3 manifest for extensions
Not doing so will be a big financial burden on browser - and mostly all chromium based browser aren't run by big companies only a few are like Microsoft edge, Opera(who have three chromium browsers but for years now China are linked to that browser & company), Brave(has a smaller team) and have said they'll allow V2 extensions while saying if it gets to expensive they'll stop, Vilvaldi say same as brave
Sidenote
