On May 15th Google released a new "Web" filter that removes "AI Overview" and other clutter, leaving only traditional web results. Here is how you can set "Google Web" as your default search engine.
@corlin The method listed for Chrome doesn't seem to change anything.

I don't use Google for search or anything else, so I have not needed to try this. Perhaps google has not rolled out the AI search "feature" to you yet.
