(Extremely Good News. Get and carry this.)
FDA approval of over-the-counter Narcan is an important step in the effort to combat the US opioid crisis
Federal and state governments could lessen these potential barriers by subsidizing the cost of over-the-counter naloxone and working with drug manufacturers to provide production incentives to meet public demand.

I carry Narcan, at all times. Both in my truck and in my bag.
In my life I have used it twice.
While doing semi-illegal, needle exchange. With a Harm Reduction Group.
This is fairly cheap, easy to learn how to use.
And definitely saves lives.

@corlin yeah the spray is a good one I have heard
FTR it wasn't always like this
only in past 3+yrs the laws changed around carrying and using Naloxone
before it was an offence to have it and use it unless you were a medical expert/staff
even though I could get it from addiction orgs if I used it I could have been charged they warned everyone about that when they gave them out to people(they did do short training before on specific nights obvs)
@ecksmc @corlin
This happened recently here in downtown Portland along our "skid row."
