@ecksmc
Note that the vulnerability is for Samsung phones with Exynos chipsets. Snapdragon-based phones should be OK. Check your regional variant.

@voltronic was just reading some more articles about that
The S22 models that are affected should just be the ones in select European and African countries since the rest of the world’s S22 devices also use Qualcomm modems.
@ecksmc
That may be true for the S22, but Samsung has used / continues to use the exynos chipset for other models in many other countries.
@ecksmc
Hide a moment of concern because I have an A53, but mine is a US snapdragon variant so I'm OK.
@voltronic yeah *wipes sweat from forehead* moment
Samsung Semiconductor that make the Exynos
Guys I have an A53 also, and I couldn't find the Wi-Fi Calling setting to switch on or off ... does that mean I'm in the clear, or should I be worried?
@Jax_Wild_4_Life did you try
1 Open the Phone app ; 2 Tap the more options icon. It will appear as three dots top right ; 3 Tap Settings ; 4 Tap Wi-Fi Calling
that model does have WiFi calling
@Jax_Wild_4_Life maybe you haven't got it
ik in UK some network providers remove that feature - Wi-Fi calling won’t work if your mobile carrier doesn’t support the feature - hence why some remove it
Contact your cellular carrier or check their website to confirm the availability of Wi-Fi calling services in your region.
you can also try(screenshot)
troubleshoot here's a few things to try
@ecksmc thanks so much! I'm in the Atlantic coast Canada, so I'm thinking it might not actually be on my phone, but I just didn't know either. I'll keep searching and confirm though, like you said.
@Jax_Wild_4_Life no worries
that would be my guess it's not available via your carrier so they have removed it before you got the device < which carriers do when adding there own stuff onto Android OS they sometimes add/remove things
did you try >> Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Advanced and select Wi-Fi Calling
along with the phone app settings those are the two places I know that setting is
