Does This classify as price jacking: there's an animal shelter here that used to be really good. I even got my cat from it! Prices on supplies were ok and their fees were manageable... in 2024 they raised all their prices due to cost of living increase. This includes nail trims for cats (from $5 to $8), why? It's a basic service, nothing fancy, nothing to update or upgrade, just a basic service that takes 2 minutes to complete - sorry but I just don't get why the increase on this kind of service

@Heavymetalmotherindisguise again, i get raising adoption fees, I get raising prices on supplies - all perfectly understandable in todays world (unfortunately) but raising a price on a nail trim makes no sense at all, it's a very simple service... they also changed policies on earning free bags of cat/dog food - just as I was about to claim my bag today - I paid into it and earned it, but they just made it more difficult to do so...
@duglop because all of their costs are going up. They have to pay people more as time goes on, the products that they buy go up and the cost of all of that is probably spread out over all the services.
