Reminded me of this: back in 1998 I was involved in a serious accident with a very large pick up truck that had a raised metal tube for a bumper - if I hadn't unbuckled my seatbelt and laid down in the seat just before it hit the side of my car it would have cut me in half - even the cop said good thinking...

Holy shit Dug! I am not surprised that you were shocked when you saw your car sheared in half! You definitely had good luck that day to think so quickly and act and to walk away without a scratch! I'm so glad that you avoided a fatality! Geez! I can't imagine...
