I'm in a state of shock. After the "debate" and about 15 min of "critics opinions" I had to get out of the house and spend time watering my gardens.
This was not a DEBATE.
This was a DEBACLE.
The failure was not on the two candidates- but on the organization that set up a worthless, fact free, fake-reality-tv show to generate ratings instead of service to the country.
The Independent Press is dead.
We are now drowning in The Click-Bait Ratings Zone.
Remember back in the day when we had student elections... let's say in high school years.
There would always be one student who campaigned, addressed issues, and wanted to improve student life.
Next there was the Jock- a popular athletic guy- good natured, agreed to run because he had a team that would make all the posters and do all the work.
The wild card would be the kid that was either a Stoner or Class Clown. 1/2
When the debate happens, the sports guy will propose things like no tests after game nights, more pep rallies and get standing ovations.
The political student would propose ways to fundraise to support travel team competitions, and have a student committee to improve cafeteria food.
The Class Clown will campaign on eliminating all homework and having more smoking areas. 2/3
Tonight we had the Class Clown lying in every sentence- with the best makeup job he's ever had, saying whatever came to his mind.
And the the Political Guy who was the only one who addressed the issues and won on substance because 
never bothered with real issues.
But Biden was looking deathly pale, could not speak above a whisper, and appeared to be sick (cold/flu)
The Click-Bate Ratings tv talk show critics say Biden lost bc he didn't have the energy.
@QueenOfEverything With what little I was able to see (at work) I agree 100% with this thread - thank goodness Biden's accomplishments speak for themselves - next time he needs to leave trump alone and focus on furthering those accomplished goals - let trump make an even bigger idiot out of himself HIMSELF! Biden took the bait, I heard more nervousness than I did confidence - and his attacks on tfg - what did that accomplish? Stick to your strengths
@QueenOfEverything this sums it up perfectly for me too - it wasn't his best tonight, but it's only a debate - the 1st of 2 - no one will change their vote based on this debate, but all debates make people nervous to watch ...
