My absolute favorite episode of any Star Trek series Star Trek the original series The Doomsday Machine ... Complete with the old cheesy special effects where you actually had to make something happen as inexpensively as possible, rather than just press a few buttons and run a computer program...

I agree with a comment that I saw on the video that this episode should have won many awards back then in the mid 60's including a Grammy for the score and say what you will about him but William Shatner should have won an Emmy for this episode...

Interestingly, I just saw, yesterday, a B&W photo of three men near a model of the Enterprise, which seemed as big as a VW Bug... must have been at least 8 or ten feet long.

Sitting on a trolley under the sun, outside. We're they wheeling it into a studio? There was no detailed description, but I wish I saved the image.

@zenmudprod was it a photo you saw online cuz I think I might have seen it

"There are three pictures floating around the internet, showing the Enterprise when it was wheeled out into the street on December 29, 1964. The first one shows Richard Datin in black on the left, Vern Sion in the blue overalls, and Mel Keys on the right. This photo is on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum with the studio model."

@northernbassist Two friends I have who worked on TNG found that same spot and took a picture there. It hadn't changed at all.

Interesting caption! 🤣🖖🤣
No-one "in black" ~ no-one "in overalls" (looks like a "blue jeans work apron" and pants sticking out below its knee high hem?).

But might 🤔 be Mel on the right ✅️
