Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all our family & friends.

We weren't sure if I would be home for Christmas. I was taken to hospital with severe upper abdominal pain. After a few days of tests, scans & endless Dr.'s pushing, poking & prodding my abdomen, they decided that it was most likely my gall bladder. They put a drain in since they couldn't pass any dye into the gall bladder & flush out the duct.

They decided to do an upper GI & see if maybe I had a stone stuck in the opening of bile duct in the small intestine. Which is exactly what they found. The stone was too large to be extracted, so a very small incision was made to allow the surgeon to get the stone out of the duct. The Dr.'s flushed the duct out, removing "quite a bit" of material that was trapped in the ducting. They attempted to inject dye back up into the ducting that connects back to the gall bladder.
