it's almost like COVID STILL FUCKING EXISTS

(this is going to be another enraging corpo-conservative piece of hot garbage, I can already tell)

you means students across demographic groups and class sizes get sick?!?!?!?!?!??????

so now we're doing the "if I have to suffer, everyone has to suffer" work culture thing? if your employer has a flexible remote-work policy and your co-workers aren't in the office, then maybe they're WORKING REMOTELY? or, God forbid, actually sick and trying not to infect you? (frankly, all work that can be done remotely should be done remotely. it's better for the environment, work-life balance, productivity, just not office building landlords' profit margins.)

THE MISREPRESENTATION OF THIS PHOTO HOLY SHIT. they want you to think there's only 3 kids in a classroom during school hours? first of all, those are cafeteria tables. second, look at the light outside. it is barely past dawn. those are not the only kids who showed up for the day, those are the teachers' kids first in line for breakfast. fucking WOW.

OH MY GOD WHAT A FUCKING CONCEPT, STAYING HOME WHEN YOU'RE SICK, YOU MEAN THE TEACHERS AREN'T JUST JOINING IN THE NATIONAL HOOKY EPIDEMIC???

because it's NOT??????? literally, if the pandemic taught us anything it's that you don't have to be physically present somewhere to be involved. you can work FROM HOME, you can learn FROM HOME. just because you're not in the building doesn't mean you've fucked off from all your responsibilities.

or maybe those classmates spread the illness to their friend the day before and now the symptoms have incubated? y'all know you're contagious BEFORE you feel sick too, right? I mean if this "disengagement" theory was true then those students wouldn't bother to come back, especially if they're using remote learning to meet state education requirements.

which was a stupid and dangerous concept rooted in toxic work culture to begin with

if by that you mean fatigue with other voters, then yeah. this was the first year I didn't vote in the primaries because I genuinely had no reason to. there were no progressives on the ballot and even if there were, they wouldn't have won, and I just can't be fucked to waste time voting for yet another bland moderate who's going to lose to Ted Cruz. I've spent a quarter of a century voting to try and change this state and I'm tired of getting shot in the face for my efforts.

@dietotaku If they're 'traditionalists' Uncle Tom Clarence would still be a slave and the women on the Court wouldn't be there because they wouldn't have the right to vote.

@dietotaku Evil never tires and neither can we. Had African-Americans 'tired' Barack Obama would never have been elected. Vote, Vote, Vote.
