maybe because we're finally realizing that limitless population growth is not only unsustainable but dangerous? you can't talk about anthropogenic climate change and then demand continued population growth, just like it's unrealistic and harmful for capitalists to demand constant profit growth. all growth has a ceiling because eventually you reach a point that you've maximized the output the system can produce and withstand.
yes? millennials are not a monolith. some don't want kids at all, ever. some want kids but will never be able to afford having them. some delay having them until they're more financially secure (but as an elder millennial myself, the clock is running out on that strategy). and some don't want kids but have the misfortune of getting knocked up anyway and not being able to do anything about it. trust me, you do not want to rely on those cases to "fix population growth."
this doesn't make any sense to me, of course it would. every single person who is coming to this country, legally but especially illegally, is trying to escape exceptional hardship. whether it's "gangs have taken over and are trying to sell my daughter into sex trafficking" or "I can't afford to feed my family" or "I would like to live somewhere with indoor plumbing." that's all hardship that no one should be forced back to.
@dietotaku maybe they should talk to #DementiaDon as a baseline
looks like somebody's getting into heaven
