it's important to note the two-fold racism of this statement: first, in using Obama's middle name to evoke imagery of Muslims and Saddam Hussein; and second, the implication that it's "the scary black man" who's actually still calling the shots and making the decisions he doesn't like. Biden, an old white man not unlike Trump himself, couldn't possibly be choosing to let more brown people (automatically "terrorists & terrorist sympathizers," so threefold racism) into the country.
no. nope. they get that benefit of the doubt in 2016 but not this time. they already tried "I'm unhappy with the status quo so let's smash everything with a baseball bat." they already tried Trump's "anti-establishment rhetoric." they got tax cuts for the rich, an exponential rise in hate crimes and A FUCKING INSURRECTION. this is not some cute "uninformed & disaffected voters wanting a disruptor" situation anymore. this is open support for fascism.
democracies don't need "a strong conservative party" to flourish, because the entire aim of conservatives is to prevent society and democracy from flourishing, to impinge on human rights and rule by force, not mandate. plenty of flourishing democracies have no "strong conservative party," or at least not nearly as far-right as ours, and Trump is "an antidemocratic demagogue" BECAUSE HE IS A CONSERVATIVE. that's the whole party at this point.
@dietotaku The mere presence of a gun should be motivation for law enforcement to move and motivation for civilians/students to run and hide.
@dietotaku uh, isn't the whole point to NOT get to the point of seeing those things?
🔵 yeah, WE KNOW, and it's a problem (also doesn't seem like you actually like any liberal ideas)
🟡 please don't, unless you want to help the antidemocratic authoritarian demagogue win and turn this country into a dictatorship
