it's important to note the two-fold racism of this statement: first, in using Obama's middle name to evoke imagery of Muslims and Saddam Hussein; and second, the implication that it's "the scary black man" who's actually still calling the shots and making the decisions he doesn't like. democracies don't need "a strong conservative party" to flourish, because the entire aim of conservatives is to prevent society and democracy from flourishing, to impinge on human rights and rule by force, not mandate. plenty of flourishing democracies have no "strong conservative party," or at least not nearly as far-right as ours, and Trump is "an antidemocratic demagogue" BECAUSE HE IS A CONSERVATIVE. that's the whole party at this point.
