retailers don't use theft to explain "disappointing profits," nor do they have to worry about inflation shrinking their margins. they use theft to justify raising their prices to obscene levels, basically price-gouging, and blame inflation so they can continue to rake in record profits and pay out multi-million-dollar executive bonuses despite a modest increase in the actual cost of goods.
welp, it's official. I've turned into one of those "young people are idiots" old people. what the fuck else do they want him to do?! he's been more critical of the Israeli government than possibly any president since Israel was created. he has explicitly defended Palestinian civilians and argued for a two-state solution. I've been happier about his response to this war than most of his other actions as president to date. Jesus Christ, Gen Z, shut the fuck up on this one.
again, criticizing a government =\= criticizing a people. there are plenty of Israelis who are criticizing the Israeli response, its approach to Hamas, and even the settlements. there are Israelis who want a two-state solution. there are Israelis who defend Palestinian civilians' right to exist. antisemites will look for any opportunity to be louder with their antisemitism but criticizing Bibi does not amount to or create antisemitism.
@dietotaku The stores are also insured, so the theft of a $10 deodorant is nothing to them.
As always, rich people want more of your money.
@Gord02 exactly. watch me play the world's tiniest violin, which i also stole, because walmart is crying crocodile tears over people shoplifting to survive.
incorrect. EVERYBODY shoplifts at self-checkouts because it's easy and fuck Walmart trying to charge me $10 for a stick of deodorant when their CEO is a fucking billionaire.
