@Bobbelieu I saw a recent cooking video about this. Apparently, drinking beef essence (it was something like clarified beef broth) was supposed to have health benefits. It was quite tasty too. It was all the rage until about 100 years ago.
@Bobbelieu That's exactly what it is I think. I might have been off by a few decades.
@danielbsmith Like Bovril in England. They brewed up a lot of it in the trenches in France during WWI
