@danielbsmith What would be best is if we didn't know ANYTHING about the religious convictions of elected officials.
@MidnightRider I think I understand your point. It would be better if invisible but I also think we can learn a lot about a person by asking them. Kinzinger didn't volunteer the information until Colbert prompted him. I think that's fine.
@danielbsmith I respectfully disagree Daniel. I took great care to steer clear of any polarizing talk at work. There's no way to take a stand without offending someone it's best to be Switzerland.
@MidnightRider It's impossible to please everyone all the time so I just don't care about that like most people. I also think some things are worth taking a stand over. But I definitely understand how you act at work. I am cautious there too. This country is too polarized these days.
@danielbsmith Daniel, IMO it's akin to when a movie star makes a flamboyant political statement before the movie opens, you cut the audience by a large margin and the utterance makes no impact.
