Just a reminder to one and all ... If Kevin McCarthy is removed as speaker, his replacement does *not* have to be a member of the House.

It's theoretically possible that Republicans will nominate , thinking it will protect him from prosecution. To be seen.

@WordsmithFL He will not get enough votes. Somebody will probably nominate him though. I kind of like Liz Cheney as a compromise choice.
