Christianity and science are not contradictory. They are not opposites and science hasn't disproven the need for God's existence. Read this passage describing an ancient airborne illness. In the same verse the afflicted are commanded to wear a mask (cover the upper lip) and be socially distant (cry out "Unclean!" so others stay away). This was good medical advice back then and remains best practice now with the #COVID19 pandemic.

I think it's unreasonable to posit out-of-left-field things for which there's literally zero evidence in order to salvage your mythology.
That's about as opposite to science as you can get.
