On Pete Rose's passing:

What he did as a player should be separated from what he did after he retired.

- He was flawed
- He was polarising
- He was cocky
- He was very easy to dislike

But he WAS a Hall of Fame PLAYER. One of the best I ever saw play. It's just the mess that came after that caused his disgrace.
