@ATXJane and you🤗 How are you doing?
I had my first 'social' visit yesterday. Do family of course, but been rough getting back to friends. The PTSD has been expressing as self- isolating for both of us but we are finally ready for some sunshine and friends again.
I am also trying to move out of posting stuff and into real conversations here. But rusty🙄
That’s so good to hear.💛 You are so innately wise that I imagine you are making inroads with the PTSD. Tolerate what you can, challenge what you must & go gently. Smaller increments are the best. 💛
I’m so pleased for you both. It’s been (& continues to be) quite a journey. But y’all have come so far, past so many milestones.
Yay for you for reclaiming what you wish to have in your life. Maybe not the same as the before times but perhaps truly sweet nonetheless.
PS I’ve been chasing this dragonfly around the garden to snap a pic for you, but so far, I’ve been too slow. 😉 He’s a cheeky but very handsome bastid!
@ATXJane💛 sounds like my type of dragonfly🙄
How are you doing? I think about you every time I hear of a blackout, tornado or heatwave...and other times too.🤗
We’re doing good in most respects. I’ll skip the health report cause it’s frustrating, but feeling unreasonably optimistic. We’ve missed the worst of the weather. It is getting hot, though. It’s been a bumper crop year for chiggers, unfortunately, but an equally abundant year for wildflowers. Preparing to move to the barndo, downsizing from 3600 to 800 sq ft.
How are y’all? I would love to hear about your adventures. Think of you often - and always keeping 12 in my heart. 💜
@ATXJane Chiggers😱 my ankles itch just thinking about!
I was wondering about the move. That is quite a shrink but once it's done it will be freeing?
I think of you too. I feel like texas has to be on our itinerary when we get on the road.
So sorry about the health. Will join you in unreasonably hopeful, It seems like it should be required to balance all the rough stuff of last year. 🤗 💙
I think the downsizing will be a little like trying to cram too much into a space, a big bursting explosion, then getting rid of what we should’ve purged the first round. Maybe in this case experience will compensate where prediction will have fallen short. 😳
Girl, it sounds like you’re describing menopausal symptoms, amirite?
@ATXJane 😂 It does!
@damselfly59
What a wonderful memory to hold close💛
I’ve been thinking of you often as the damselflies have emerged here - so gentle and graceful.
Hugs.
@Esther 💙 I relate more to their symbol of change and affinity to water than grace😂 But thank you! How are you doing? 🤗
@damselfly59
I’m doing well. Enjoying outdoor work. The dog rescue work is emotionally taxing, but I love being with these pups and we’ve been finding homes for them more quickly lately, other than an adorable pit bull who is starting to be very frustrated living in a kennel.
Do you have any travel plans with 11 this summer (yikes, is he 12 now?)
@Esther we are working on it still. The high priority this next month us getting a pool set up. It has arrived in the driveway. My dirt for leveling and my 4d level arrive today.
Also have to squeeze in sanding and painting my parents 2 decks. Then watch out America....
I feel like being retired would give me more time to work 😂
Yes 11 is the dirty dozen now🤗 Hormones starting to kick in. Is enjoying being taller than me. 5'8" and still sprouting.
Awwe I didn't know you rescued!🤗 🤗 🤗 💜
@damselfly59 ❤️
@damselfly59 love this!!!! 🐎 💕
@Valkyrie_D it is beautiful but love that little girl on the big horse the most! How you doing, you hiking mama!
@damselfly59 I’m doing good!! Planning on going on another crazy adventure this weekend!! Hopefully no bears are involved 😂 💕
@damselfly59
Much love to you. 🩷
