But he said in many small towns, people are struggling without power to run wells. He got a little hot when he talked about no US funding. They need air defense systems and supplies for them yesterday. He also talked about the Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries. I asked if he heard the disinformation that the US had asked Ukrainian not to hit Russian oil. He said yes, it's all over the place, but nobody in Ukraine believes it. They will continue to hit them.

He ends the chat with a plea. This is going to be a very bad spring for the Ukrainian people. Please do whatever you can to get the US government to help!
A note: I have never heard him so depressed about the near future, He is working 12 hour days, 6 days a week. And not getting the rotation he used to.
btw: He chats with me, because we talk about other stuff besides the war. I sent him copies of "3 body problem" for his unit to watch.

@corlin I will contact my senators, who are part of the problem.
He is still doing the same job. Communicating with people behind the lines in the Donbas region, verifying reports and sending them up the chain of command for targeting. He said support for Russia in the Donbas is dwindling, as the Russians are not allowing farmers to plant. And not supporting the troops in the rear with decent food or shelter. So they steel from the villages.
