How the UN is Holding Back the Sahara Desert.
How ? By using indigenous farming and forest techniques now long forgotten..
@corlin Sorry. I really should try to contain myself sometimes.
@AskTheDevil
Na.
Don’t try.
Restraint is mostly overrated.
I mean it is useful, and all, when dealing with anyone but friends.
But with friends, na, let it rip.
@corlin And they did it in a way that allows the farmers doing the work to benefit and prosper, and not in a way that they're just employees/serfs for rich people, and/or leaving their countries on the hook to pay back interest that is impossible and makes them debtors forever, right?
Because that would be nice.
It would be the opposite of how every similar story I've heard about how we "help" people, but it would be lovely.
