It's an excellent system. I wonder what it would take for his work to gain adaptation. The problem with the series discussed in the aforementioned conversation is that they're a pervasive part of the mainstream SF multimedia conversation - so their models shape cultural imaginations.
:) Anyone have a few million to throw at adapting works from the Banks estate?
They don't include super heroes, nor dystopian themes.
So not likely.
