Lessons learned.

We here might have another huge wave of new people soon. Maybe not. It all depends on what happens over on the bird site. I must confess I made some mistakes during that prior mass migration. I was too harsh in asking new folks to change their ways. I am glad that many decided to stick around, and pickup the CoSoVibe.

So if another great migration happens, be kind. Understand that the new folk have no experience with a human social network.

Yet also be vigilant.

@corlin I respectfully disagree slightly. I saw a lot of people coming in trying to turn CoSo into Twitter 2.0, right down to first posts talking about how they'll block Magats and wanting to organise or push their 'brand'.

I think what makes some new Cosonauts so successful is a willingness to integrate and to realise they're joining something that's already established 👍

@BillyBones @corlin Some tend to disappear when they realize that the amount of "Followers" means nothing here

@BillyBones
Yes.
Good point, this is a fine line to walk. I think I figured out how to say this without being too harsh, and will do so again.

@corlin @BillyBones
So if the mass Twitter exodus is because Elon was and is going to buy it...Why leave? Because Musk is the owner? What does that have to do anything? Is the TOS going to change drastically, because as it currently stands, most people on Twitter don't follow the TOS and Twitter doesn't enforce it.
Also, a lot of people who migrate here have no clue @th3j35t3r is the owner...
Is it cheap grandstanding?
