A Wave of Change: Xiuhtezcatl and Nick Tilsen
"One of the things you talked about is confronting and healing trauma as a part of our work to heal our communities. That has solidified itself as a pillar of how I see the way that we must go forward in the world. I would love to hear some of your thoughts around what that work can look like. I think it’s a very unique conversation for Indigenous peoples."

@corlin hmmm ... where is this coming from?
@corlin thanks... will read later.. still working
Looks interesting though. Thank you!
I’m always curious when I see Nahuatl language. I thought it was an Aztec language—- and although I’m sure descendants are around, I wonder about the use of the language today. I have a lot to learn about this though. I’ve got some friends who I don’t see nearly enough who are Mexican dancers... I really need to call them up and ask sometime. I really know very little about that history.

"Are we not warriors?”
"That quote didn’t come from a human being. It came straight out of ceremony. That message was given to us by the ancestors. It said: How long are you going to let other people decide the future for your children? Are you not warriors? It’s time, don’t come from a place of fear, come from a place of power."
